Clermont Chain of Lakes:
The largest of the Clermont Chain of Lakes, peaceful Lake Louisa, has little boat traffic since almost 1/2 of the shoreline is protected by the Lake Louisa State Park. The shoreline is rimmed with beautiful cypress trees, whose needles turn red around Christmas time.
These two lakes are connected by a small canal. The Sawmill Lakes is spring-fed, so the water level does not fluctuate as much as other lakes. Big Sawmill Lake, with a ski jump and slalom course, is a favorite among water skiers.
There are many more individual lakes throughout the Clermont area, enough for every taste.
